MAC Connection Dec. 8

Men’s Group Meets Tuesday’s – 7pm @ the Church

Youth Group – Wed. Dec. 9th meet at 6:15pm at the Church & go over to Aspen House to Sing Christmas Carols for the Seniors window visit style. Then after that we will deliver Christmas gift bags from the church to houses in the church neighborhood. (We just drop the gift bags at the door or hang them on the doorknob, not interacting with the homeowners). Dress to be outside for youth group!

The public health measures for small groups include physical distancing & mandatory masks.

Soul Care & Ladies Bible Study have now finished

 

Christmas Eve Service Dec. 24th 7pm - in preparation for Christmas Eve & the current capacity limits, please notify the church office if you are planning to attend & how many from your family we can expect.

Musicians – if you play a lead instrument such as piano or guitar your help with the music teams would be greatly appreciated. Please contact the church office if interested.

Sunday Church Services 10:30am – we continue to meet IN-person for Worship Services we adhere to the measures from the province regarding church attendance the current measures are listed at the end of this email.  If at anytime we must resort to online Services only we will notify you.

The Sunday Service is always available to watch on YouTube, its is usually posted after 2pm on Sunday below is the link to the YouTube channel

  • Places of worship Mandatory restriction – Enhanced status (purple) areas – Effective Nov. 24
  • For faith services, the maximum in-person attendance is 1/3 of the occupancy set under the Alberta Fire Code.
  • Must hold services at their normal location, including rental spaces like a community hall.
  • Physical distancing between households must be maintained.
  • Mask use is mandatory.
  • Online services are encouraged.
  • In-person faith group meetings and other religious gatherings are not permitted in private homes while these measures are in effect.
  • Faith leaders and others speaking in front of a congregation are permitted to remove their masks while speaking provided they maintain 2 metre distance from others while doing so. Once finished speaking, the speaker must put on their mask again.
  • In-person faith group meetings conducted at a place of worship can continue but physical distancing and public health measures must be followed.
  • Indoor group performance activities conducted in a place of worship, such as choir singing and playing music, are permitted provided these are normal activities conducted as part of worship practices and not for the purpose of entertainment.
