CELEBRATION OF
CREATIVE CRAFTS AND GIFTS

 THE RATIONAL FOR THIS CELBRATION

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10

“There are different kinds of Spiritual Gifts, but the same Spirit gives them.  There are different ways of serving, but the same Lord is served.  There are different Abilities, but the same God gives ability to everyone for their service.  The Spirit’s presence is shown in some way in each one, for the good of all.”
I Corinthians 12:4-7

“...each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.”
I Corinthians 7:7

I  (God) have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts  to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,  to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.
Exodus 31

And he (God) has given him the ability to teach others.  He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them master craftsmen and designers.
Exodus 35

All the women who were skilled in sewing and spinning prepared blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen cloth.  All the women who were willing used their skills to spin the goat hair into yarn.  The leaders brought onyx stones and the special gemstones to be set in the ephod and the priest’s chest piece.  They also brought spices and olive oil for the light, the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense.  So the people of Israel—every man and woman who was eager to help in the work the Lord had given them through Moses—brought their gifts and gave them freely to the Lord.
Exodus 35
